ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification

You can earn the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification, accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Conference for Food Protection (CFP). This certification is required for promotion to leadership positions and preferred for any other advancement.

If you are currently in a promotion cycle or need to retest because your current certification is expiring you may obtain your ServSafe certification on your own or through a Registered ServSafe Proctor on our team.

We offer study materials for you to borrow so you may independently study and prepare for the exam.

Steps to ServSafe Certification:

  1. For new certifications, discuss your goals and intentions with a director or the Franchise Owner to become certified to ensure they align with our business goals.
  2. If approved to move forward, check-out the ServSafe Manager Book, 7th Edition Revised from a Leader (or feel free to purchase your own book).
  3. Study independently and ask a leader if you have any questions.
  4. When you feel ready to take the ServSafe exam, you should take our Practice Exam. Your results will be sent to the leadership team who will follow-up with you within one week to review your results.
    • Practice Exam in English
      • This practice exam contains 80 questions and you will have 90 minutes to complete it.
      • You must answer 64 correctly to score 80%
    • Practice Exam in Spanish
      • This practice exam contains 40 questions and you will have 60 minutes to complete it.
      • You must answer 32 correctly to score 80%
  5. Once you score 80% on the Practice Exam, we can arrange a time for you to take the exam with one of our Registered ServSafe Proctors.
    • When you are ready and have score 80% or higher on the Practice Exam, send an email to info@cfafortpierce.com with ServSafe Ready in the subject line and you will be contacted about scheduling your proctored ServSafe exam.
  6. You will need a laptop and you will also need to create your own ServSafe.com account and purchase the online exam from your ServSafe.com account. Information about the exam code you need to purchase can be found at this link: ServSafe Manager Exam (Access Code)
